Pindar Townsite circ 1930
The old Pindar pub as it is fondly known, was built in 1905 and has always been the focal point of the town of Pindar. It was a thriving corner hotel until January 1975.  The guest house still houses the original Pindar Coat of Arms, designed by the late Mr. J. Wright.  The Coat of Arms is comprised of a quartered sheild surmounted by a teamster rampant, and supported by a camel couchant and a donkey dormant. The shield is quarter, representing mosquitoes vigilant over a bed, a barrel of beer and jug, an ancient specimen of the ford and the cup and dice.
The motto is 'COME ALL YE FAITHFUL'
The shire of Mullewa thought enough of the Pindar Pub to commission a well known local artist to do a painting of the hotel together with a camel team carting wool, those teams, having played a large part in the history of the town, together with the survival of the Pindar Pub. This painting now has pride of place in the shire offices.
With the anticipated closing of the railway in 1975 the end came for the hotel and it was sold to local and longstanding residents of Pindar in 1978 as a private residence.  In the 1990's it was sold again, and again in 2006 to the present owners and is now known as the PINDAR GUEST HOUSE. It now provides visitors to the area Bed & Breakfast accommodation and evening meals for in-house guests.
